Rough & Rubbed Opal Parcels – Collection Description

Our rough and rubbed opal parcels are sourced directly from our own mining operations in Lightning Ridge. All material is personally mined by us and offered in its natural state, either as rough opal or lightly rubbed to reveal potential colour and structure.

These parcels are ideal for cutters, collectors, and those who enjoy working with opal at various stages of the process. Each parcel contains natural, uncut or minimally prepared opal, with individual stones varying in size, pattern, colour, and character.

As with all natural opal, colour, yield, and final outcome cannot be guaranteed. Rough and rubbed opal is sold as-is and is intended for those with an understanding of the inherent risks and rewards involved in working with natural material.

Every parcel is unique and reflects the variability and unpredictability that makes Lightning Ridge opal so sought after.
